Several years ago, upon becoming vegan, I developed a passion for baking and cooking. I started my first two blogs to show off my cake and cookies. Now, I need a place where I can share my cooking as well as baking. This blog will show my own vegan recipes as well as others I’ve tried and enjoyed, or altered to suit my own personal tastes.
I get a lot of questions about why I’m vegan so I’ll answer it for you here if you’re interested. I am vegan because I don’t agree with taking something from an animal, or anyone, without their full permission. I don’t agree with inflicting pain upon a conscious being for something that I don’t need to survive. I don’t support free range, or “humane” meat/eggs/dairy either for lots of reasons. For one, I believe that there is nothing humane about killing something for my own benefit. I can support myself, avoiding over consumption, through a meat/dairy and cruelty free diet.
Preparing ethical food to enjoy and share is a great passion of mine, and it’s nice to have somewhere to show it off. It’s not my intent to turn any of my readers vegan though, I hope this blog can open your mind to vegan lifestyle and cuisine.
